Annick GIRARDIN, Minister, Ministry for Overseas France, France
Born on August 3, 1964 in Saint-Malo, Annick Girardin was appointed on May 17, 2017 by Prime Minister Edouard Philippe, Minister for Overseas France. She began her career as a popular education and youth counsellor attached to the youth and sports ministry. In 2000, she and her team launched the local political movement "Cap sur l'Avenir". Elected Territorial Councillor in 2000, Municipal Councillor in 2001, Annick Girardin became Member of Parliament for the Archipelago in 2007. She was reappointed in 2012 and joined the executive council of the Left Radical Party. In April 2014, she joined the Government as Secretary of State for Development and Francophonie before being appointed Minister of Public Service in February 2016.
