Apparu Benoist Mayor, Châlons-en-Champagne

Benoist Apparu was elected Deputy of Marne in 2007, reelected in 2012. He has exercised ministerial responsibilities as State Secretary in charge of Housing and Urban planning, then as Minister of Housing (2009-2012). Previously, he had held functions of chef de cabinet of the Minister delegate to higher education Xavier Darcos, and advisor and deputy director of the cabinet of the Minister in charge of social cohesion Catherine Vautrin. Benoist Apparu is also a local elected politician in Châlons-en-Champagne (prefecture of Marne) since 2001. After being deputy mayor in charge of sustainable development and vice-president of the Urban Community for the Environment and sustainable Development, he was elected Mayor in April 2014. Holder of a DESS in international Business Law at Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Benoist Apparu is Chairman of the Board of in‘li, number 1 of rent of intermediary housing in Ile-de-France for young workers and average income earners.
