Jean-Marie CHAUVET, Project Manager Biorefinery Research & Innovation – Agroindustrie Recherches et Développements (ARD)

After a Doctorate in Biochemistry at the University of Grenoble and a Master in Applied Ecology, Jean-Marie Chauvet realizes a Post-doc at the University of Sherbrooke (Canada), within the framework of an integrated biomass fractionation program (1988-1990).
Project manager (1990-1992) then Director of CAVISA (Center for Analysis and Industrial Valuation of Agricultural Substrates) in Reims until 1998, he joined ADRIAC (Center for Research on Packaging) as Director until 2001.
He created "Espace Temps & perspectives" and led various advisory missions for INRA (Innovation Department), Caisse des Dépôts & Consignations and Crédit Agricole Nord-Est. Advisor to the president of the Champagne Céréales cooperative (now Vivescia) and advisor to the director general of ARD (Agro-Industry Research & Development), he was involved in the Industries & Agro-resources cluster from 2006 to 2008 as adviser to the president and especially in the genesis of the Futurol project (2G ethanol)
He was hosted for 1 year at the USDA (Office of Energy Policy and New Uses) Washington DC (USA) as a "guest researcher" for an exploratory mission (called Bridge) (2008-2009) on biofuels and bioproducts of second generation.
Jean-Marie Chauvet is, since 2010, responsible for setting up within the ARD the BRI (Biorefinery Research & Innovation) innovation platform located on the site of the Bazancourt Pomacle biorefinery near Reims.
He is also Head of the Jacques de Bohan Foundation, chaired by Olivier de Bohan (President of Cristal Union).
