Danielle Nierenberg, Founder and President, Food tank, USA

Food Tank is a non-profit organization, gathering a world community of players to act and sensitize around healthy, safe diet and with nutritional qualities. Food Tank supports and highlights ecological, social and sustainable solutions that enable to fight against hunger, obesity and poverty. Food Tank moderate networks of people, organizations and contents to put pressure in favor of a change in food system.
Danielle Nierenberg co-founded Food Tank in 2013. Before that, she has travelled for two years in more than 60 countries of Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Latin America, to meet farmers, scientists, researchers, decision-makers, politicians, governments’ representatives, students, academics, and journalists, in order to list a large set of solutions to reduce hunger and poverty, friendly with the environment. Danielle wrote or contributed to many reports and major books. Her knowledge of the world challenges of agriculture has been quoted in more than 8,000 great media throughout the world. Danielle has a Master in agriculture, food and environment from Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. She was also a volunteer for the Peace Corps in Dominican Republic.
