Rafael Flor, Director of YieldWise initiative, The Rockefeller Foundation, Ecuador
As the Director, M. Flor supervises the YieldWise initiative of Rockefeller Foundation, aiming at avoiding food losses in the priority value chains and improving millions of lives.
M. Flor has 20 years of experience in international development. He has worked with development institutions, universities and the private sector. Before joining the Foundation, he was main adviser at the office of the director of the Earth Institute of Columbia University. He ran different positions at Armajaro Trading, at MDG Centre West and Central Africa, at the United Nations Program for Development, at Columbia University and Escuela Agricola Panamericana, Zamorano. M. Flor was a member of the working Group of the World Food Program on Productive Safety Nets, a member of the steering Committee of the World Food Program for Latin America and the Caribbean on knowledge share, as a support to the eradication of hunger, examiner of the 2006 environmental performance index and member of the special team of the UN Millennium Project on Hunger.
M. Flor holds a Master in public administration of the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) from Columbia University and an agricultural engineering diploma from Escuela Agrícola Panamerica, Zamorano
